We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the design, construction, and commissioning of a large-scale animal vaccine manufacturing facility . This is a high-impact leadership role overseeing a major capital expansion project valued in excess of $100 million .

Location: Saint Joseph, MO 64506

Pay: $95.00 – $115.00 per hour

Type: Contract (Potential for Full-Time Conversion)

Shift: 45 hours per week, 1st Shift

Long-Term Project Through June 2028

Key Responsibilities

+ Lead end-to-end project execution from planning through commissioning.

+ Manage capital project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure successful delivery.

+ Direct large-scale facility construction and expansion projects within regulated environments.

+ Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Operations, Quality, Validation, and Regulatory Affairs.

+ Serve as the primary liaison with architects, EPC firms, contractors, equipment vendors, and key stakeholders.

+ Establish and maintain project governance, reporting structures, and risk management strategies.

+ Drive executive-level decision making through effective communication and project leadership.

+ Monitor project milestones, mitigate risks, and resolve issues in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.

+ Ensure compliance with industry standards and project quality expectations.

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.

+ Mechanical, Chemical, or Biomedical Engineering preferred.

+ Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.

+ Proven experience leading large capital projects, including new facility construction or major building expansions.

+ Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biologics, or life sciences industry strongly preferred.

+ Demonstrated success managing capital projects exceeding $100 million.

+ Strong understanding of the capital project lifecycle and Front-End Loading (FEL) process.

+ Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

+ Ability to manage direct and indirect cross-functional teams.

+ Experience working with executive leadership and influencing strategic decisions.

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

+ Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, timeline-driven project environment.
