Job DescriptionAs a Manufacturing Engineer, responsibilities would include but would not be limited to establish process routings for both new and old designed parts through the production steps in the manufacturing facility. Establish the setup, run and standard times for the production of parts. Determine the weld wire and paint usage for production parts. Request tooling be purchased or made in house when necessary. Evaluate prints for manufacturability, correctness of tolerance and overall correctness. Quote labor requirement and request tooling quotes for new business. Solve production problems as required. Investigate labor time variances as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This individual needs to be knowledgeable of manufacturing processes and equipment used in the heavy metal fabrication and machining industry. Must be able to use a computer for inquiry use and to use software for calculating labor standards. Must be proficient at reading blueprints and have good math and analytical skills. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
The successful candidate must be detail oriented, reliable, flexible, have exceptional analytical skills and be self-motivated. Post secondary education and/or work experience equivalent to is preferred.
