Job Description
Position Summary:This position performs skilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and operational support of Kansas State Fairgrounds facilities and infrastructure. The incumbent assists in construction and repair projects, assists in the overseeing of grounds upkeep, supports event operations, supervises assigned staff, and ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:Directly assists Operations Manager and/or Operations Assistant Manager with a wide array of
skilled and semi-skilled building repairs, event set-ups & tear down, cleaning
and maintaining appearance of state buildings. KSF does 500non-fair event
rentals through the year in conjunction of the State Fair. We have 32 buildings
that need periodic maintenance. Work with inmate labor in set up and tear
down of Non-Fair events. Ensure inmate labor is trained and able to safely
operate machinery. Ensuring assigned work orders are finished in a timely
manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
