Maintain responsibility for operations management and scheduling production. Align the company’s production goals and work closely with the assigned team to reduce expenses, increase productivity across all product lines, and avoid loss in time in “change overs” to meet company monthly objectives. Oversee and communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management. Establish workflow policies to enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity at the plant. Strengthen communication with other departments to identify vulnerabilities and close operational gaps. Plan, direct, and coordinate operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of managers. Purchase raw material for the company at optimal price without compromising the mill. Coordinate with sales and production departments to verify capabilities and specifications. Responsible for updating all staff with weekly production schedule. Responsible for planning all production for company mill. Responsible for coordinating steel deliveries on time with the objective of meeting customer requirements. Coordinate with maintenance to avoid disruptions in the production schedule. Oversee cycle counts of all inventory at company and third-party warehouses. In coordination with inventory team, perform and develop daily and weekly cycle counts to help identify and eliminate any discrepancies with the company’s SAP system. Responsible for establishing clear paperwork trails and reconciliation between audit results and SAP system. Coordinate storage layout for finished product. Guide third-party auditors with raw or finished materials. Maintain responsibility within the company for any inventory audits. Perform inventory count with the inventory team at third-party warehouses. Plan and develop new opportunities for increasing market share on pipe products. Coordinate and forge partners in Mexico for the company’s tube products. Lead and communicate project objectives to reach the optimum goal of increasing company presence in the United States and abroad. Coordinate and liaise among company affiliates in the United States and Mexico. Develop and maintain relationships with potential customers to increase sales of company in the United States and Mexico. Coordinate and implement due diligence for potential transactions abroad. Identify and develop different types of data that need tracking to improve business performance (key performance indicators). Identify claims/production/inventory and report trends immediately to senior management. Oversee company finance and budget to plan and maximize profitability.
