Are you looking for a flexible schedule that allows you to work weekends and still receive full-time benefits ? Join University Health Behavioral Health Ellington Place as a Therapeutic Support Specialist/ Mental Health Technician on our weekend day shift team! Work Saturday and Sunday, 7 AM-7:30 PM , with a significant shift differential for weekend hours. Optional additional shifts are available.
What You’ll Do:
As a Therapeutic Support Specialist on our residential care team , you will provide essential care and support to residents, helping them thrive in a safe and supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include:
+ Engage and Connect: Lead fun, meaningful activities that promote confidence, joy, and emotional well-being for residents.
+ Teach Life Skills: Guideresidents in developing practical skills like cooking, cleaning, symptom management, and problem-solving.
+ Provide Support: Assistwith outings, medication administration ( training provided ), andmaintaininga welcoming, recovery-focused environment.

Qualifications
We are looking for passionate, dedicated individuals who meet the following minimum qualifications and can contribute to a supportive environment for our residents:
Minimum Require men t s:
+ Education: High school diploma or equivalent ( no college degree required ).
+ Heartsavers CPR Certification: Must obtain Heartsavers CPR certification within 90 days of hire and maintain it for continued employment.
+ Level 1 Medication Aide (LIMA) Licensure: Complete the licensure course and exam within the first90 daysof employment. Certification must remain current per the Missouri Departmentof Health & Senior Services (DHSS).
+ Driver’s License: Obtain a valid Class E Missouri or Kansas driver’s license. Must be comfortable and competentoperatinga 15-passenger vanwithin3 monthsof employment and obey all traffic laws while on duty.
+ Family Care Registry Clearance: Successfully clear the Family Care Registry background check.
+ Training: Complete all required training as outlined during orientation and by leadership within established timelines for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Lived Experience: Personal lived experience with recovery from mental health or substance use disorders is valued in our setting.
+ Patient Care Experience: Preference for candidates with documented experienceassistingpatients with activities of daily living (e.g.home health or residential experience).
+ Men t a l Health Experience: Prior experience in amental health care setting is highly valued.
