Overview / Job Summary:
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Electric Power Generation Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction in diagnostic, repair, and maintenance practices for power generation systems. This 12-month faculty position is responsible for classroom, laboratory, and hands-on instruction aligned with industry standards, workforce needs, and student success outcomes.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
- Develop and deliver instructional content focused on electrical power generation, maintenance, and repair, specifically on Caterpillar technology.
- Conduct classroom and lab sessions including demonstrations and hands-on training with heavy equipment.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum stays current with technological advancements and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and academic performance.
- Participate in program assessment, accreditation, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support student success through advising, mentoring, and career guidance.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Heavy Equipment Technology, Diesel Technology, or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and industry experience
- Minimum of 3 years of recent, hands-on experience servicing and repairing generators or similar equipment
- Strong knowledge of modern electric power generation systems and tools
- Ability to effectively teach and communicate technical concepts to diverse learners
- Valid driver’s license
