Job Description
Duties: Safely operate and maintain fertilizer application equipment to apply fertilizer and chemicals on crop farm in Lane County, KS, with minimal to no supervision; operate combine during harvest; calibrate and monitor equipment to ensure accurate application rates; perform preventative maintenance and repair of fertilizer machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation; troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs in the field and shop; perform welding as needed for equipment repair; maintain shop area and inventory supplies and parts; assist with crew scheduling.
Requirements: 2 years’ experience in equipment repair and maintenance; able to weld; able to safely operate farm equipment with GPS systems; willingness to work a flexible schedule, 5–6 days per week, including some nights, holidays, and weekends during planting and harvest; ability to lift 100 lbs; pass drug test.
Wage from $42,182/year ($20.28/hour)
