Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS –
- Water, weed, fertilize, transplant, prune and propagate plants.
- Prepare plant science laboratory materials.
- Prepare and press plant specimens
- Order and inventory supplies.
- Prepare potting soil.
- Monitor temperature changes and make necessary adjustments.
- Water plants on weekends as needed.
- Assist maintenance with watering.
- Apply pesticides and other chemicals as needed.
- Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
- Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
- Instruct “Lets Get Growing” outreach course.
SECONDARY -
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Department 2 Chairperson and/or the program coordinator.
