PURPOSE OF POSITION: To input data for an internet store engaged in selling products processed by Goodwill employees. To fulfill Goodwill’s mission statement

                                                                           

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: E-Comm Manager, District Manager & VP of Operations/Sales

 

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None.

 

ORGANIZATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Works with individuals who have disabilities and or barriers to employment and participate in the achievement of their goals. Demonstrates a positive, role model.  Displays commitment and involvement towards Goodwill's mission.

JOB COMPETENCIES: Lists merchandise to the auction site. Answers customer questions about merchandise. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for uploading merchandise to the auction site.
  • Reports need for repairs and recommends replacements as necessary.   Attends to and satisfies customer’s needs. Handles customer complaints in a fair and impartial manner, coordinating as necessary. If unable to assist customers transfer to management.
  • Places merchandise bins in appropriate location.
  • Meets production standards on a daily basis.
  • Makes recommendations to Store Manager, District Manager and Vice President of Operations/Sales.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Handles email communications from buyers.
  • Represents Goodwill in the area served, striving to enhance the Goodwill image through individual and group participation.
  • Adheres to all safety policies and reports violations.
  • Adheres to all ethical standards and confidentiality of records.
  • Supports mission statement and activities of other departments.
  • Supports the accessibility of our services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation, employment, and other barriers to person with disabilities and other barriers to employment.
  • Performs on the duties as instructed.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Provides support for team.
  • Uploads items on Shopgoodwill. 


STANDARDS FOR MEASURING PERFORMANCE/QUALITY STANDARDS:

  • Attendance and punctuality.
  • The cleanliness, neatness, and orderliness of his/her store premises.
  • Quality and quantity of work performed.
  • Attitude and overall effectiveness of working relations with all stakeholders.
  • The effectiveness of his/her relations with the E-Commerce Customers and the manner in which he/she handles complaints by customers.
  • The effectiveness of his/her merchandising methods.
  • The manner in which he/she meets or exceeds production goals.
  • The manner in which he/she puts merchandise away accordingly.
  • The manner in which he/she reflects the high standards of morals and integrity expected of all Goodwill staff personnel.
  • His/her effectiveness in meeting deadlines and his/her response to special requirements and the expressed desire of management.
  • The extent to which the store meets or exceeds accreditation standards as approved or endorsed by Goodwill Industries of America.
  • Must meet store evaluation standards every day as set forth by Goodwill Industries.
  • The manner in which duties and responsibilities, essential functions and job competencies are performed.
  • Supports and values diversity.

 

RELATIONS WITH E-COMMERCE COSTUMERS: Is uniformly courteous to them.  Listens to any complaints and attempts to adjust within policy to the satisfaction of the customer when merchandise is not satisfactory.  Uses good judgement and does not hesitate to take responsibility.   Stresses courtesy and enthusiasm.

 

RELATIONS WITH VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS & DISTRICT MANAGER: Keeps him/her informed of significant events.  Recommends changes in policies and procedures based on store operations.  Is particularly sensitive to management requests and adheres to deadlines and due dates.

 

PHYSICAL STRENGTH:

  • Lift -- push/pull while standing - up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Rarely over 100 pounds.
  • Carry -- push/pull while moving - up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Rarely up to 100 pounds.
