Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Shipping/Truck Driver to join our team. This role is responsible for transporting steel and materials to job sites and vendors, as well as supporting shipping operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer service.

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials to job sites and vendor locations
• Load and unload materials, ensuring secure handling and minimal damage
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate with supervisors
• Follow all company, local, state, and federal safety and traffic regulations
• Operate forklifts and assist with material handling, including steel, as needed
• Construct pallets and prepare materials for shipment
• Provide courteous and professional service during deliveries
• Adapt to changing schedules and delivery needs
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate light to medium-duty trucks (CDL not required)
• Good navigation skills and knowledge of regional roads
• Ability to lift and carry materials (typically up to 75+ lbs.)
• Strong time management and reliability
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
• Strong work ethic and attention to safety

• Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 75+ lbs.) and push/pull heavy loads
• Capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods and working in various positions (bending, kneeling, reaching, crouching)
• Comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather and road conditions
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and environments
• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Pre-employment physical and drug screening required.

Compensation & Benefits:
