Hours: 7:00am-4:00pm Monday-Friday, Subject to overtime
QPS is hiring a 1st shift Shipping Lead to support outbound warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment. This position offers competitive pay and long-term opportunity. Responsibilities include preparing outbound loads, scanning and verifying finished goods, applying shipping labels, ensuring shipping paperwork accuracy, loading trucks safely and efficiently, and operating forklifts as needed. Candidates should have prior shipping or warehouse experience, strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Shipping Lead Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Operate inventory warehouse management system effectively, including but not limited to creating outbounds, scanning finished goods, and using item locator
- Ensure all information on ship orders match shipping labels
- Apply any shipping labels or placards required to finished goods prior to loading
- Scan finished goods using the correct ship order and outbound
- Ensure finished goods are safely and efficiently loaded onto trucks
- Use web-based quality management system to perform quality inspections
- Ensure accuracy of all shipping documents prior to providing to external truck drivers
- Operate forklift as needed
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety rules
- Work a flexible schedule if necessary
- Attendance is an essential function of the role
Shipping Lead Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months of transferrable shipping experience
- Must have good English written and verbal communication skills
- Good arithmetic skills are required
- General proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Ability to operate a forklift preferred
