Job Description
Job Summary:
The Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process for hourly and salaried positions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, and attract high-quality candidates to support production and operational goals.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for all positions
- Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and hiring priorities
- Develop and post job advertisements on platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and other relevant job boards
- Source candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, and direct outreach
Candidate Screening & Selection
- Conduct phone screens and initial interviews to assess qualifications, cultural fit, and alignment with company values
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers
- Administer and evaluate pre-employment assessments where applicable
- Conduct reference checks and support background screening processes
Recruiting Strategy & Pipeline Development
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for high-turnover and critical roles
- Utilize proactive sourcing techniques for hard-to-fill positions (e.g., maintenance technicians, skilled labor)
- Partner with local workforce development agencies
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all recruiting activities comply with federal, state, and local employment laws (including EEO and OFCCP if applicable)
- Maintain accurate and organized candidate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Support affirmative action and reporting requirements
Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
- Promote Weckworth Manufacturing as an employer of choice
- Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication and professional interactions
- Support onboarding coordination to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to employee workflow.
