Job Description

Mechanical Engineer (Cimarron, KS) multiple openings - 

1. Observe and understand proper safety procedures and rules at all times.
2. Ensure all machinery and mechanical equipment is properly maintained in proper working order.
3. Ensure all regularly scheduled maintenance and inspections on all machinery and mechanical equipment, including oil changes and maintain proper lubrication where appropriate.
4. Oversee repair and/or replace defective parts when found.
5. Adjust the functional parts and control instruments of all machinery and mechanical equipment where appropriate.
6. Starts machinery and mechanical equipment to observe and test its performance.
7. Meet daily with the Maintenance Supervisor to determine tasks to be completed.
8. Operates equipment such as front-end loaders, bobcat loaders, and dump trucks.
9. Responsible for upkeep of the Shop, Shop parts, and supply inventory.
10. Conduct routine inspection of all systems and processes in the feed yard.
11. Continue professional growth and stay abreast of latest industry practices, by participation in professional and employee development training.
12. Work closely with the cattle department supervisor to ensure proper operation of feed yard Turnkey Vet System.
13. Updating or repairing existing systems and troubleshooting problems with hardware and software to ensure there are no interruptions in feeding patterns.
14. Help oversee location Feed Mill operations to ensure data produced by feeding equipment is accurate.
15. Complies with applicable OSHA, FDA, and EPA regulations; maintains appropriate compliance records.
16. Designs and implements computer-based processing system for compliance records.
