Description:Labette Health is seeking dedicated and dependable Housekeepers to join our Environmental Services team. As a Housekeeper, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. Full time Day and Evening positions available.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and disinfect patient rooms, restrooms, offices, and public areas according to hospital standards.
- Dust, mop, sweep, vacuum, and sanitize floors and surfaces.
- Remove trash, linen, and infectious waste safely and appropriately.
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply needs to supervisors.
- Follow all infection control and safety procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to room cleaning requests in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required – we will train the right candidate.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 25 pounds and push carts up to 50 pounds.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to patient safety and infection prevention.
