Job Description
The CAD Operator performs a variety of design/drafting activities including the origination of and updates to existing engineered drawings for use in our manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Prepare dimensional drawings, installation drawings, piping diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
- Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes
- Review blueprints, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation if necessary
- Serve as an information source on planning and design of equipment and manufactured items
- Maintain notes, design calculations and other documentation in accordance with the document retention policies set by the Engineering Manager.
- Other duties as required relating to CAD database
Requirements
- Proficient in Solidworks software platform a MUST
- Associate's Degree in Mechanical Drafting/CAD Design or equivalent work experience.
- Proven organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite product
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
