This opportunity supports civil engineering efforts within the Mission Critical Solution, where infrastructure is designed to protect national security and support high-consequence federal missions. Mission-critical infrastructure extends beyond visible facilities to the resilient systems and sites that must perform without failure. The company partners with the U.S. Federal Government to deliver secure, sustainable planning and design solutions for federal facilities worldwide, reducing risk through collaboration, innovation, and reliable civil site development in complex operating environments.
Senior Civil Engineering Technician serves in a lead technical role supporting the development of high-quality civil engineering deliverables for complex infrastructure projects. This position applies advanced civil engineering knowledge to the creation and modification of site development plans, grading designs, and utility layouts using industry-standard tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D. The Senior Technician provides technical guidance, consultation, and training to technicians and engineering staff, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to design standards. This role may coordinate and oversee assigned technicians, supporting both conceptual and detailed design activities to deliver efficient, accurate, and mission-aligned civil solutions.
Job Summary
- Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor
- Applies advanced technical expertise to solve complex design challenges within a specific engineering discipline
- Contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions
- Uses digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) with standardized procedures to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
- Provides consultation, training, and oversight to other engineering technicians to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance with project standards
Skills
- Advanced Civil 3D experience is required with use of proposed grading surfaces and plan development, pipe networks and plan and profile deliverables
- Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience.
Education
Diploma or Certificate required. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering design-related technology preferred
