Job Description

Temp-to-hire position

Proficiently operates machines, equipment, conventional and powered hand tools to produce parts in the assigned department.  Knows and follows company and department processes and procedures.  Works under minimum supervision.

·         Proper operation, maintenance, and inspection of machines (conventional and/or CNC), laser machine, turret machine, utilizing standard equipment, tools, and materials.  Capable of multiple operation machining. May perform own machining set ups.  Performs the processes utilized within the assigned department.

·         May be proficient in welding and peripheral processes, including but not limited to MIG (GMAW) and/or TIG (GTAW), spot welding, and cosmetic finishing.

·         Visually and dimensionally inspects products produced in accordance with the product's inspection plan and/or inspection instructions.  Performs documentation of inspection results.

·         May be trained to operate a forklift and related material handling equipment, e.g., pallet jack, hoist, scissor lift.  Operates in accordance with established safety rules.

·         Follows all company administrative, quality, and safety procedures.

·         Respects and maintains organization of the department, its materials, tools, fixtures, manufacturing aids, inspection documents and related items. 

·         Respects the facility and the physical property and premises of the company.

·         Communicates effectively with co-workers, lead persons, supervisors and managers within the company.
