Job Description

Temp-to-hire position

Operates machines, equipment, conventional and powered hand tools to produce parts in the assigned department.  Learns company and department processes and procedures. 

·         Follows all company administrative, quality, and safety procedures.

 

·         Proper operation, of machines using basic equipment, tools and materials.  Performs the processes utilized within the assigned department.

 

·         Respects and maintains organization of the department, its materials, tools, fixtures, manufacturing aids, inspection documents and related items. 

 

·         Respects the facility and the physical property and premises of the company.

 

·         Communicates effectively with co-workers, lead persons, supervisors, and managers within the company.

 

·         Visually and dimensionally inspects products produced in accordance with the product's inspection plan and/or inspection instructions.  Performs documentation of inspection results.

 

·         May be trained to operate a forklift and related material handling equipment, e.g., pallet jack, hoist, scissor lift.  Operates in accordance with established safety rules.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to hot, cold, wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
