Position: Mortgage Post Closer (not remote) Department: Mortgage Operations Location: Wichita, KS (on-site) Status: FT/Hourly Jump start your career at Equity Bank! Job Description- Review closed loan files for accuracy, signatures & dates.
- Stack files in investor’s preferred order.
- Scan files to banks document housing system for retention.
- Upload/ship file to investor for purchase.
- Follow up on investor conditions.
- Interacting with Underwriter/Closer/etc to resolve file discrepancies and, as necessary, provide required documentation.
- Complete mortgage loan insuring process.
- Complete booking and funding maintenance.
- Transfer Investor loans in MERS.
- Performing all duties in accordance with Equity Bank mortgage standards.
- Track recorded Mortgages and Final Title Policies.
- Pay fee invoices if required.
- Monitor each Investors Final Doc list for missing items.
- Complete a Post Close review on all In-House loans within 30 days of closing.
- Enter exceptions into Baker Hill for follow up.
- Work weekly exception list to clear outstanding conditions.
- Review documents for accuracy.
- Ensure loans are in accordance with state and federal regulations such as, but not limited to, RESPA, HMDA and Fair Lending Practices.
- Keeps informed of the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government-insured mortgages.
- Consistently works in accordance to published department sales and service standards.
- Benchmark of less than 5% error ratio as documented through Quality Control reports, Internal Audits, External Audits and Regulatory Examinations.
- Employee is responsible for understanding and following the applicable laws and regulations for their job responsibilities including but not limited to Equity Bank Business Ethic and Conduct policy, Bank Secrecy Act, Information security, and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements.
