Summary

Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.

The primary purpose of this position is: to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over 22nd Security Forces Squadron, Operations and Training Section. The Deputy Security Officer, shares with the Commander and Operations Officer the full scope of responsibility for managing the activities of the organization.

DUTIES:

  1. Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the 22nd Security Forces Squadron, Operations and Training Section. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and Security Forces Operations objectives. As Deputy Security Officer, serves as principal advisor on matters concerning integrated base defense, force protection, nuclear and conventional weapon systems security, vulnerability assessment and mitigation, police services, equipment capabilities, and combat arms training. Fills role of Operations Officer and SF commander during incumbent's absence and plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Security Operations flight and squadron, ensuring administrative law enforcement programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
  2. Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors.
  3. Represents the Security Forces Squadron, Operations and Training Section with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
  4. Represents the Commander and Operation Officer with a variety of squadron, installation, and law enforcement organizations.
  5. Reports to the Operations Officer and Squadron Commander of Security Forces and performs other auxiliary, security and law enforcement functions.

  • This position is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
  • This position has been identified as a designated position under the Air Force Drug Testing Plan. Incumbent(s) of this position is subject to random drug test.
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, to include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
  • The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, valid driver’s license is required for the position.
  • Employee must maintain current certifications

  • Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), conferral is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD ...(continued)
