What You’ll Do

As a Industrial Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in supporting our campus facilities. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facilities and tank farm equipment.
  • Operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial equipment, machinery, and transportation equipment.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics to complete maintenance and repairs.
  • Performing basic welding and fabrication as needed for repairs or modifications.
  • Following all safety procedures and contributing to a strong safety culture.

 

What We’re Looking For

Experienced, hands-on professionals who bring a strong mechanical background to maintenance.

Core Skills & Experience:

  • Experience with industrial equipment maintenance and repair
  • Strong mechanical knowledge including hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, pumps and pump motors
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, including AC/DC systems, motors, control circuits
  • Familiarity with preventive and predicative maintenance practices
  • Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical blueprints and schematics

Technical & Diagnostic Strengths:

  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) – basic troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Knowledge of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor control systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
  • CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) experience

Tools, Fabrication, & Equipment:

  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, alignment tools)
  • Welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, stick, Mill and Lathe experience)
  • Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, rigging, and forklifts

Safety & Work Ethic:

  • Strong commitment to safety, including Lockout/Tagout, OSHA standards, and PPE
  • Dependable, self-motivated, able to work independently or as a team
