Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking an entry level Electric Motor Repair Technician to join our team for an
immediate start. In this position you will be open to the opportunities to have on-the-job training in a
variety of skill sets related to the electric motor repair industry.
JOB SKILLS WE WILL TRAIN TO:
Inspect various kinds of electromechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical
malfunctions.
Inspects parts as needed for incoming, outgoing, and quote building needs.
Test conditions of windings.
Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines,
test panels, surge testers, core-loss testers, and ovens.
Operate cranes, forklifts, and various handheld power and non-power tools.
Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment, including but not limited to: single-phase,
three-phase, DC fields, armatures, wound rotors and transformers.
Operate manual milling machines and lathes for the purpose of meeting customer demand.
Operates welders, grinders, and various other metal fabrication equipment to complete projects
as needed for customer orders.
Operate specialized balancing equipment.
Complete the required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
Inspects parts as needed mechanically and visually by using a variety of precision measuring
instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, gage pins and thread gages as required
for the purpose of meeting blueprint, work order, engineering, or customer specifications.
Maintains a clean workstation; daily sweeping, decluttering, and replacing shop materials/tools to
appropriate designated areas.
