Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW:
To assist in the creation of die making through grinding, precision smoothing, sharpening, and polishing metal objects. Will also be responsible for running Two CNC Mills (Hurco and Mazak) Doing special projects as they arise to prove out production processes for manufacturing parts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Must possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.
2. Must be proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
3. Must possess good organization skills.
4. Must be able to lift at least 45 pounds.
5. Must be able to reach overhead.
6. Must be able to work in stooping, kneeling, and standing positions.
7. Must be able to perform pushing, pulling, bending and climbing activities.
8. Must have working knowledge of surface grinders, mills, lathes.
9. Must have a positive and cooperative attitude toward co-workers, suppliers and customers.
10. Must be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
11. Must be able to read micrometers, calipers, measuring tape to within 1/32 of an inch.
12. Must be able to take blueprint, bills of material, and die set; then fabricate, assemble, and prove out tooling to blueprint specifications.
13. Have a problem solving mentality, and work through challenges.
14. Be able to read a print and setup a 3 axis mill to produce one off pieces.
15. Experience in conversational programming is a plus.
16. Understanding of G and M codes.
