Job Description
Danisco USA, Inc. seeks Senior Scientist Culinary in New Century, KS, to deliver technical support to customers across the US, including Global Key Accounts, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company capabilities. Apply specialized knowledge of hydrocolloids, vegetal and animal proteins, natural preservatives, seasonings, and flavors to improve texture, performance, shelf life, and cost-efficiency in food products. Lead product development and industrial scale-up processes in meat and meat alternatives application areas. Provide technical training and support to customers and internal teams, ensuring successful product implementation and performance. Facilitate Management and operation of the meat applications lab, ensuring accurate testing and development of innovative solutions. Leadership of strategic global projects, from their creation to their implementation in the industry. Direct formulation, product improvement, and cost-reduction strategies for meat and plant-based product lines.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Food Science, Food Science and Technology, or a related field, and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in a related occupation: working in industrial food, ingredient, or flavor industry; working with formula ingredients, raw materials and their function; developing finished product formulations incorporating technologies, and meeting industrial standards, country specifics, and client requirements including profile, legal, cost, and stability requirements; providing technical guidance on problems relating to raw materials, solutions, finished prototypes and initial scale-up procedures; creating and executing training programs for technical and commercial staff; providing technical services to customers including plant trials, troubleshooting, and trainings; and participating in in-house visits including answering technical questions and conducting seminars and presentations. 30% national travel required.
