Supervises and provides hazardous materials remediation services for numerous iSi customers in accordance with applicable regulations and in a manner that will meet facility required production rates.

Job Requirements Position Responsibilities
  • Supervise and perform hazardous materials remediation projects including tank cleaning, heavy metal dusting, hexavalent chromium cleaning, paint booth cleanings and maintenance, machine cleaning, etc.
  • Supervise and perform multi-tasked remediation projects where the employee may be exposed to dust, volatile organic materials, asbestos, mold, and lead
  • Assist crew with projects as needed
  • Supervise a team of 2-3 leads and 7-15 laborers, handling minor personnel issues
  • Ensure employee compliance with safety policies and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Support other projects within the Industrial Services Department
  • Ensure safe operation of power tools, lifts, and other equipment
  • Conduct daily safety meetings with crew personnel
  • Enforce safety policies and train new hires for compliance
  • Operate motor vehicles safely and in compliance with applicable regulations
  • Operate a variety of lift trucks safely, including forklift, scissor lift, boom lift
  • Provide customer service to client representatives
  • Develop knowledge of client facilities and operations
  • Work closely with Industrial Services Project Manager to develop crew schedule and ensure appropriate staffing
  • Track usage of supplies and equipment
  • Track disposal of waste
  • Complete all required project paperwork
  • Inspect and track crew work
  • Provide additional support as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • 5 years prior experience in the fields of maintenance, janitorial, construction, or hazardous materials remediation
  • 3-5 years prior lead or supervisor experience supervising up to 15 people on multiple crews
  • 1 year prior experience working with heavy equipment, such as a forklift, scissor lift, vacuum truck, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of client’s facility
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to work safely with heavy equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong team player
  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
  • Forklift certification
  • Ability to work fluctuating shifts and on call
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • DOT driver certification
  • Commercial driver’s license
