About This Role
The Hazing Prevention and Conduct Coordinator serves as the primary lead for hazing prevention efforts at Kansas State University. In compliance with the Stop Campus Hazing Act, this role will develop and implement relevant and research-informed hazing prevention programs to educate the campus community and student body. This role will also, at times, serve as an investigator and/or adjudicator of individual student and student organization conduct reports and processes. This role will report to the Director of Conduct and collaborate closely with campus partners including Fraternity & Sorority Life, Athletics, Student Programs & Involvement, Housing & Dining Services, Campus Recreation, Morrison Family Center for Student Wellbeing, and more. About Us
Student Support & Accountability (SSA) is an integral unit within the Division of Academic Success & Student Affairs at Kansas State University. SSA works with students facing extenuating circumstances that are impacting their academic and personal success. SSA also oversees numerous policies related to student behavioral concerns, including the Student Code of Conduct, Student Organization Conduct Code and Process for Discipline, and PPM 3015 - Threat Management. This position will be unique within SSA, sitting between both the support and accountability functions of the office and providing opportunities to incorporate prevention and proactive work to address issues related to hazing and similar behaviors.
Worksite Description
This position is On-site. On-site, Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. some evening and weekend work maybe required.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Five years of relevant experience
- Requirements may be met through a combination of work experience and education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in student affairs, social work, counseling, or a related field.
- Experience working in higher education.
- Experience working in fields related to prevention and/or programming.
- Experience with conduct or a judicial program.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work effectively, prioritize objectives, and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities
