Position: Loan Servicing Specialist
Department: Loan Operations

Status: FT/Hourly

This role provides essential support to the organization by ensuring accurate and compliant loan servicing functions including but not limited to, servicing various types of loans.

- This role provides essential support to the organization by ensuring accurate and compliant loan servicing functions including but not limited to, servicing various types of loans
- Ensures proper booking of new loans, renewals, amendments and letters of credit
- Responsible to research and analyze requests for validity and within scope of authority
- Responsible for updating loan/customer information, loan coding, collateral data, payment posting corrections and waiving fees or interest
- Prepares payoff requests and completes Credit and Mortgage verification requests
- Handles incoming/outgoing telephone inquiries concerning loan information
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
- Stays current in knowledge of software, bank products, rates, and regulatory systems
- Responsible for adhering to and complying with all Bank policies and procedures, all applicable federal and state laws and regulatory guidance governing financial institutions
- This position regularly works in an office setting
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Comprehensive knowledge of lending practices and procedures
- Effective oral and written communications skill and the ability to work well with others and interact with Bank’s Lenders and Officers
- A critical thinker and problem solver with an eye on continuous improvement
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- This position requires standing, walking, bending, and squatting on a regular basis
- May require the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or reach with hands and arms
- Requires the ability to carry, lift, move or push up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis
- Must be able to talk and listen to others
- Frequently uses hands and fingers to handle or feel
- Requires ability to see up close and distant, distinguish colors, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
