Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Facilitate the student learning and intellectual development, including providing instruction for Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) courses each semester (typically includes instruction of three courses), in accordance with the College’s scheduling needs and KDADS requirements.
- Recruit qualified Adjunct instructors for Allied Health courses in accordance with College policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws, regulations, and accrediting standards. Ensure compliance with College and the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services policies and procedures.
- Maintain current curriculum for all courses certified by the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services and current instructional practices.
- Oversee all continuing education activities and services for Health and Human Services.
- Oversee all the admissions for testing and certification for HHS continuing education programs.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with students, college employees and community partners.
- Uphold and enforce standards outlined in the Kansas Nurse Practice Act Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services regulations.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum and its application in health care practices.
- Prepare and submit all required reports to Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services in a timely and compliant manner.
- Supervise laboratory and clinical settings as needed.
- Establish and facilitate clinical sites and partnerships.
- Operate instructional and clinical equipment safely and effectively.
