Job descriptionMaize USD 266 Special Education Cooperative is seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Audiologist to join our team at Maize South Elementary (MSE). The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive audiological services to students, ensuring their hearing needs are met and promoting optimal learning environments. This role involves collaboration with educators, parents, and other professionals to support the auditory health and educational success of our students.

- Conduct hearing screenings and assessments for students to identify potential hearing impairments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results
- Provide recommendations for hearing aids, assistive listening devices, and other accommodations as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to create supportive learning strategies for students with hearing loss
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student assessments, treatments, and progress
- Educate students, staff, and families on hearing health and the importance of early intervention
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Stay current with audiology best practices and advancements in technology related to hearing aids and assistive devices
- Master’s degree in Audiology or Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure or certification to practice as an Audiologist
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Knowledge of hearing health issues and their impact on learning
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on industry standards
