Job Description

Position Description: The Office Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support for the Pastor, Program Staff, Session, Deacons and Program Committees at First Presbyterian Church.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answers the telephone, receives visitors, and makes referrals.
  • Assists in the preparation and/or mailing of newsletters and bulletins.
  • Updates membership database as needed using ACS program.
  • Administers church and office calendars.
  • Provides general administrative support to the Pastor, Program Staff and Committees, including but not limited to typing, filing, copying, and handling mail.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Pastor/Head of Staff.
