What You'll Do
Responsible for performing laboratory tests and analysis to provide data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.
Requirements
- Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Technologist (MT) by a nationally recognized Accreditation Agency
- High Complexity Testing requirement: Earned Associate's degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology. (Equivalency: 60 sem hrs w adequate course break-down AND training or experience).
- High school graduates with appropriate training who are performing high complexity testing on or before 4/25/95, will continue to qualify.
- Must meet CLIA 88 standards.
- Or if prior to 4/24/95, have graduated from a medical laboratory school that has been approved or have completed a 50-week military training course.
