Job Description
Maintenance Technician
Shift: 1st shift- 7am - 3:30pm
Wage Range: $27 - $30 per hour w/ three scheduled wage increases the first year.
SUMMARY:
Performs a variety of maintenance duties in the upkeep of equipment, buildings and grounds including special projects, under the direction of the Maintenance Manager. Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
- CNC repair as needed
- Welding as needed
- Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production
- Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service including, but not limited to, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- None
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification in at least one (1) maintenance discipline or Five (5) years maintenance experience in a commercial industrial or construction setting
- Forklift
- Scissor Lift
- OSHA 10 Certification
