Job Description
We are looking for an energetic, team player to join our material managment team!
JOB SUMMARY: Performs functions to contribute to the success of purchasing, inventory, shipping and receiving services. Emphasis is on positive internal and external communication and cost-effective utilization of materials and supplies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assists in the procurement of supplies, equipment and services
- Maintains a good working relationship with vendors
- Upholds CBH policies, acts as an advisor/resource to all departments with regard to supply, equipment, and service needs, and keeps CBH informed of departmental policy changes and any deviation of routine activity
- Assists with physical inventory oversight
- Helps to maintain database of products in the materials management system
- Contributes to successful achievement of departmental goals and objectives
- Follows established standards of performance and productivity
- Maintains records and statistics for administrative and regulatory purposes
- Maintains effectiveness of interpersonal skills, cooperativeness, communication, and positive attitude with co-workers, patients, vendors, and physicians
- Performs other duties as directed
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Require full range of motion including; bending, stooping, lifting, reaching, good hand-eye coordination, standing, and walking for extensive time periods are required. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 to 50 pounds. Must be able to operate and handle equipment used for transporting materials to departments. Ability to stand for long periods, lifts moderate weights, and pulls and pushes items. Normal corrected vision and hearing are required. Must have ability to work under stressful conditions and able to work irregular hours as needed.

ENVIRONMENT
The Clara Barton Hospital is an acute care facility licensed for 25 beds. The major challenges for this position are to organize and perform assigned tasks according to established schedules and procedures.
