Job Description
SUMMARY: This 10 month, part-time position assists children during the breakfast and/or lunch period, This position works a minimum of two and a half hours per day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervises students during lunch time and maintains a harmonious atmosphere by encouraging peaceful resolutions of conflicts.
- Assists students during lunch to promote speed through the food line.
- Reports student misbehavior to the appropriate building principal.
- Reports dangerous acts by drivers to the appropriate building principal.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High school graduate or GED
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- To read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
- To write correspondence
- To effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students, parents, and the general public
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: To add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply/divide with 10s and 100s, performing these operations using units of American currency and weight measurement.
REASONING ABILITY: To apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but basic written or oral instructions. To deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:
- To establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, and the school community
- To communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written communications
- To perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies
