About This Role

The Mike Wiegers Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (www.ece.ksu.edu) at Kansas State University invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of power electronics. Applicants should have Ph.D. or equivalent degree in electrical engineering, a strong publication record, passion for research and teaching excellence, and potential to develop a vigorous extramurally-funded research program.
About Us

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, as one of the eight departments within the Carl R. Ice College of Engineering, has 19 faculty members and approximately 500 undergraduate and graduate students. The department is located in the new Engineering Hall equipped with the state-of-the-art research laboratories, classrooms, and office spaces. The department has strong research programs in power systems, power electronics, wireless communications, network engineering, and biomedical engineering. Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. in electrical engineering or equivalent
  • Strong publication record
  • Passion for research and teaching excellence

The degree requirement is necessary for accreditation purposes and to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Potential to develop a vigorous extramurally-funded research program
