Job Description
Responsible for applying permanent identification markings to aerospace components in compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements. This role ensures traceability, accuracy, and quality of markings on aircraft parts and assemblies to support safety, certification, and production processes.
Essential Job Functions:
- Apply part markings using approved methods.
- Interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and specifications to determine marking requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards including FAA regulations, AS9100, and customer-specific requirements.
- Verify accuracy of part numbers, revision levels, and lot traceability information prior to marking.
- Perform inspections of marked parts to ensure legibility, placement, depth, and permanence meet specifications.
- Maintain documentation and traceability records.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
