Job Description
Role Summary
The Supply Chain Manager – Shared Services is responsible for overseeing sourcing & procurement, vendor management, contract administration, and materials planning across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and rail service divisions, as well as supporting data-driven manufacturing operations. This leader drives process improvements, cost optimization, and supplier performance while maintaining strong internal and external relationships. The role requires expertise in leading data-driven , continuous process improvement initiatives involving ERP systems such as Jonas Construction, Sage, or similar platforms.

1. Strategic Procurement & Vendor Management
- Develops and executes sourcing strategies across multiple service lines.
- Applies strong negotiation skills to optimize cost, quality, and service levels.
- Establishes vendor scorecards and conducts regular performance reviews.

Technical Requirements:
- Experience managing complex and multi-category vendor portfolios.
- Understanding of construction/service-based supply chains and manufacturing operations.
2. Contract Development & Administration
- Writes, reviews, and negotiates supply chain contracts and service agreements.
- Ensures contract compliance and risk mitigation across operations.
- Manages KPIs, terms, renewals, and vendor obligations.
Technical Requirements:
- Familiarity with legal terms, indemnities, warranties, and contract structures.
3. Operational Supply Chain Excellence
- Oversees purchasing, inventory, and logistics for both field services and manufacturing.
- Implements continuous improvement initiatives reducing delays, defects, and waste.
- Applies critical-thinking and problem-solving to resolve material shortages or workflow disruptions.
Technical Requirements:
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and rail service operational needs.
- Experience supporting manufacturing environments.
- ERP proficiency (Jonas Construction, Sage, or equivalent).
4. Process Improvement & Data-Driven Decision Making
- Identifies workflow bottlenecks and implements standardized processes across business units.
- Utilizes ERP data to forecast demand, track costs, and optimize material flow.
- Develops and reports KPIs to guide leadership decision-making.
Technical Requirements:
- Strong understanding of lean principles, workflow mapping, and continuous improvement tools.
5. Relationship Building & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Builds strong trust-based relationships with operations leaders, project managers, manufacturing teams, and external vendors.
- Communicates clearly and professionally across departments, adjusting style to audience.
- Facilitates alignment between field needs, production schedules, and procurement strategies.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or related field (preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, procurement, or materials management.
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or manufacturing environments.
- ERP experience with Jonas Construction, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated success in negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
