Job Description
Position Summary
The Journeyman Electrician performs installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems under limited supervision. This role ensures all work meets applicable codes, safety standards, and client specifications while supporting apprentices and contributing to Elite Electric’s strong reputation for craftsmanship and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Plan and execute conduit runs, wiring layouts, and panel terminations per NEC and local code.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and building regulations, including OSHA and NFPA 70E standards.
- Lead small crews and mentor apprentices, maintaining a productive and safety-focused job site.
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and clients to meet schedules and specifications.
- Complete accurate daily reports, material requests, and time documentation.
- Perform testing, calibration, and verification of installed systems.
- Maintain company tools, vehicles, and materials in clean and serviceable condition.
