Job Description
DescriptionWichita State University Campus of Applied Sciences and Technology (WSU Tech) is seeking an experienced aviation professional to serve as an Embedded Instructor for the FAA Part 65 Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certification Fast Track Program supporting Bombardier Aviation employees. This role blends classroom and hands-on instruction in an accelerated environment and plays a critical role in preparing participants for FAA certification.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver FAA Part 65–aligned instruction and Bombardier-specific training in both classroom and field settings
- Prepare participants for Oral & Practical (O&P) exams and coordinate testing logistics with FAA Designated Mechanic Examiners
- Facilitate on-site and off-site training sessions, including setup, execution, and closeout
- Track attendance, performance, and certification progress while providing regular feedback to program leadership
- Collaborate with Bombardier and WSU Tech teams to ensure training quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
Required
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification and at least five years of relevant aviation maintenance or instructional experience
- Strong working knowledge of FAA Part 65 regulations and certification processes
- Experience delivering FAA-aligned technical instruction or workforce training
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to travel and maintain flexible scheduling as needed
