Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
We are looking for highly motivated, physically fit candidates with strong attention to detail for the Diesel & Automotive Technician position. The primary duties of a technician include performing diagnostic tests on diesel and automotive vehicles to find faults, analyzing diagnostic test results and repairing or replacing engine, steering, transmission, braking or lighting system components. Diesel & Automotive Technicians need to be highly organized and communicate effectively, as they will be expected to maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Test driving vehicles to gauge performance, running diagnostic tests on vehicles, and analyzing diagnostic test results.
Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, braking systems, and checking vehicle lighting systems.
Replace or repair air system components and hydraulic system components on a wide variety of equipment
Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks and maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles.
Maintaining a parts inventory, ensuring the cleanliness of the shop.
