Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are currently seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician to support operations at a Grow Farm in Gardner, KS.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Farm Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for general facility and equipment maintenance. This role involves hands-on work with mechanical, electrical, and irrigation systems and requires working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on farm equipment and facilities, including preventive maintenance
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning equipment in a timely manner
• Maintain and service heaters, fans, irrigation systems, electrical systems, and diesel pumps
• Order replacement parts and supplies as needed
• Assist with the installation of new equipment and systems
• Perform general facility maintenance as required
• Be available for on-call, after-hours emergency maintenance when necessary

Working Conditions

• Position requires working outdoors in all seasons
• Must be able to work in both hot and cold weather conditions
