Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated PRN Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care for Medical-Surgical patients based on established clinical nursing practice standards. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Serves in the Resource Nurse role when oriented and as directed. Supports the organization vision and mission. Utilizes knowledge of patient’s age and cultural diversity into the provisions of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
- Plans and manages patient care according to each patient’s needs.
- Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition.
- Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, allergies, and current meds and respiration.
- Provides routine care for patients.
- Observes patients’ health.
- Reviews medical charts.
- Communicate with patients and their families.
- Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler
- Prepares specimens for lab.
- Administers medications.
- Evaluates and documents intervention and patient response to treatment.
- Administers enemas douches, perineal care, Foley Cath care, colostomy care, and suppositories.
- Follows and adheres to isolation techniques and universal exposure control procedures for infection control.
- Assist patients with mobility, transferring to and from wheelchairs, stretcher, commode, or ambulatory status with or without crutch or walker assistance.
- Assist physicians in emergency care.
