Accountant #FINACC-2011 Salina, Kansas, United States Locations 110 W Otis Ave, Salina, Kansas 67401, United States Job DescriptionThe accountant prepares the monthly and annual financial reports, preparing work papers and documentation as required. The position prepares and analyzes monthly and annual financial statements and reports. Prepares and monitors budgets. Position reports to Financial Services Management.
- Prepares and analyzes monthly and annual financial statements. This includes reviewing general ledgers and preparing: Statement of Financial position, Statement of Activities for each corporation, consolidated statements, and management tools.
- Prepares or assists in preparing financial reports and projects as requested by Financial Services Management.
- Prepare routine journal entries using established templates and approval workflows
- Prepare account reconciliations and assist with financial statement reviews
- Investigate and resolve routine reconciliation discrepancies and escalate issues as appropriate
- Assist with the preparation of grant budgets, grant renewals, and grant proposals as requested
- Prepare supporting work papers for contract and grant reporting
- Assist with preparing audit work papers and documentation for external auditors as requested
- Review and code accounts payable invoices in accordance with established procedures as requested
- Review and code corporate credit card expenditures as requested
- Review and code employee expense reports as requested
- Assist with month-end close activities under supervision
- Prepare Excel worksheets, graphs and trend reports as requested
- Participates as a member of the team. Communicates, cooperates, collaborates, and coordinates with others as necessary.

- Bachelor’s degree Accounting or related business field
