Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on Facilities Care Supervisor to lead our custodial team and help keep our facilities in top shape. The right candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and pride in creating clean, safe, and welcoming spaces.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support the daily operations of the janitorial team.
- Create and manage cleaning schedules, assigning tasks and ensuring completion on time.
- Inspect facilities regularly, addressing areas that need extra attention or repairs.
- Oversee cleaning supplies and equipment, keeping everything stocked and in good working order.
- Train, coach, and motivate staff while ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Partner with other departments on special cleaning projects or specific needs.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, staff schedules, and inventory.
- Address staff or client concerns with professionalism and timeliness.
- Assist with hiring, training, and evaluating janitorial staff.
What We’re Looking For
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Reliable transportation.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in janitorial or cleaning services.
- Knowledge of cleaning practices, chemicals, and safety procedures.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team.
- Good time-management skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Comfortable using basic computer applications for scheduling and reporting.
- Physically able to lift, push, and carry cleaning equipment and supplies.
