Job Description
Excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with 2-4 years of experience in the agricultural field and grain logistics. Bachelor degree in Agriculture Business, Ag Economics, or Business degree preferred. Must be able to work independently and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Responsibilities include: truck logistics, grain origination, hedging, purchase and sales contracts, and marketing.
- Logistics management, grain procurement, and marketing
- Assist in developing short and long-term storage utilization plans
- Analyze grain movement trends and forecasts
- Implement purchase and sales strategies
- Work closely with local grain elevators, commercial facilities, and end users
- PC literate with knowledge of hedging, word, excel spreadsheets, instant messaging, and Agris a plus
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Team oriented
- Must observe and enforce OSHA, state and federal regulations and promote a strong and sfety culture
- Bilingual preferred
