Are you looking for a job in electronic assembling and soldering? QPS has the place for you! Our customer is seeking an Electronic Assembler/Solder to assist with electronic assemblies and subassemblies. In this position, you will work with electrical or electronic components, such as modules and circuit boards. This role involves following repetitive production standards, so we will consider any applicant with manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude. However, any soldering and wiring experience you may have is beneficial. They have a flexible 8-hour work schedule Monday-Friday that you set. This is an associate to hire role in Shawnee, KS.
Electronic Assembler Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up and operate appropriate tools, equipment, and fixtures for product assembly
- Solder wires and electronic components to printed circuit boards (PCB)
- Assemble and solder wiring harnesses
- Perform hand assembly of plastic and metal heat sinks and case components
- Conduct functional testing on work-in-progress and completed units
- Read and follow documented quality system procedures, work instructions, and Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Partner with production supervisors to identify and resolve assembly issues and support continuous improvement efforts
Electronic Assembler Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of soldering experience preferred (SMT and THT components)
- Experience in electronics manufacturing environments preferred (2+ years desired)
- PC-A-610 Certification preferred
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math at a high school level
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear for extended periods while performing continuous operations
- Flexibility to work in other assembly line roles as needed (inspection, testing, packaging, etc.)
- Familiarity with component polarity and verification of proper solder and component placement
- Good eyesight, including close and distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment
- Manual dexterity to work with small components
