Summary

Leads complex design and construction projects.  Ensures that integrated project management processes are aligned with industry best practices and are consistently applied across the business. 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Steer large-scale design and construction projects from concept initiation, pre-design, design development through project completion, ensuring all aspects are managed efficiently.  
  • Lead and mentor project teams, overseeing their work, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative and motivated environment.  
  • Provide strategic insight to projects at the pre-design and design development phases to identify opportunities, potential challenges, and innovative solutions to optimize outcomes.  
  • Oversee budget allocations, resource utilization, and expenses, ensuring projects adhere to financial constraints.  
  • Maintain transparent and effective communication with stakeholders, presenting project status, updates, and potential roadblocks.  
  • Utilize your experience to identify, assess, and manage project risks, adapting strategies to ensure successful project execution.  
  • Develop and manage complex project schedules, coordinating activities and ensuring alignment with project objectives.  
  • Deliver clear and concise project reports, highlighting progress, milestones, and areas requiring attention. 
You Must Have
  • A bachelors degree in construction management, project management, engineering, or a related field. 
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience in construction management, project management, or a closely related role, demonstrating substantial leadership responsibilities. 
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time.  
  • Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.  
  • United States Citizenship 
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations) 
We Value
  • A master's degree in construction management, project management, engineering, architecture or a related field. 
  • PMP certification or its equivalent.  
  • Expertise in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).  
  • Experience collaborating with Federal Government clients.  
  • A background in a manufacturing or industrial environment.  
  • A track record of successfully managing projects up to or exceeding $100M. 
  • A solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies.  
  • Exceptional organizational skills with an innate ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving prowess.  
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.  
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, encompassing project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An understanding of technical aspects of construction, architecture and engineering
