Job Description
Operating self-propelled equipment that reaps, harvests, threshes, swathes, or winnows crops such as corn, wheat, milo; performing manual or mechanical adjustments to equipment; performing safety checks on equipment; maintaining and repairing equipment and other tools; transporting crops to elevators, silos, or other storage areas, and transporting equipment and other tools used for harvesting from one field to another. Must speak and understand English.
Employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities at no cost to the worker, all of which are in working order, including refrigeration, space for food preparation, cooking accessories and utensils, appliances, and dishwashing facilities so that workers may prepare their own meals. Kitchen facilities include adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure.
Employer will provide transportation once a week to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries. The employer shall provide transportation in the form of bus, farm vehicle, van, or other common means between the place where the employer has provided housing to the actual work site and return at the end of the work day. Such transportation will be without cost to the worker, and the means of transportation shall meet all applicable safety standards. Daily transportation is also available at no cost to workers who do not reside in employer provided housing and are unable to return to their primary residence at the end of each day.
