Hydroforming Press Operator

Shift: 1st- 7am- 3:30pm

Wage Rage: $22 - $24 per hour w/ three scheduled wage increases the first year

SUMMARY

Flatten, straighten, form, stretch, contour and bend raw material or machined parts to produce quality products to customer specifications. Required to do set ups. Promotes and utilizes standard safety practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hydro Form

  • Read blueprint and / or job order for product specifications

  • Follow set up notes / set up book instructions

  • Understands and can set / use all machine parameters and functions

  • Knows how to set ram pressure

  • Use precision measuring instruments

  • Hand forming skills

  • Forklift license needed to move heavy dies and or parts

  • Understands sheet metal math

  • Ability to read spreadsheets

  • Deburr skills

  • Periodically verifies conformance of formed work to customer specifications

  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like

  • Lifting and carrying up to approximately 50 pounds

  • Pushing and pulling up to approximately 50 pounds

  • Reaching

  • Bending

  • Twisting

  • Extensive repetitive motions in wrists, hands and/or fingers

  • Fine manipulation

  • Grasping

  • Squeezing

  • Vibrating hand tools

  • Good hand-eye coordination

  • Good visual acuity

  • Production area subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations

  • Moderate level of noise

  • Vibrations and moving parts on machines and hand tools 

  • Moderate fumes/chemicals although good ventilation is provided

  • Concrete floors

  • Exposure to machine sparks

  • Exposure to metal chips and/or shavings
