Job Description

Summary

Lead Finance provides a broad range of Finance/Accounting services. In support of strategic objectives, this position interacts with FM&T leaders & NNSA Finance counterparts, to resolve related business issues.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Acts independently to uncover and resolve issues. 
  • Ensures compliance with established GAAP Accounting policies and procedures and NNSA regulations and helps ensure a sound internal controls environment. 
  • Anticipates business needs and develops analytical data to support decision making. 
  • Solves complex issues related to the interpretation and application of accounting policies and procedures and explores alternative solutions to improve company’s financial reporting. 
  • Uses financial modeling and accounting knowledge to help Division determine the most effective and efficient uses of available funding. 
  • Uses financial reporting, customized as necessary and reasonable, to support financial requirements.  
  • Manages multiple and ad hoc requests in a timely manner. 
  • Provides proactive support in budget process, variance analysis and forecasting.  
  • Brings financial best practices and latest digital technologies to support financial management improvements to Division, and utilizes Six Sigma skills and contributes to Finance initiatives. 
  • Drives continuous process improvements under consultative direction.  
  • Leads Divisional Management Operating System (MOS) deliverables including, but not limited to: Monthly Operation Review content; Strategy Development, Deployment, Monitoring/Reporting; Self-Assessment Report inputs, Management Assurance System Divisional Coordinator; annual Finance Functional Review Coordinator; and Prime Contract Deliverable Finance Coordinator.
  • Supports Honeywell Aerospace new business opportunities via pro forma creations, RFI/RFP responses, proposal cost volume creation, and other requested Finance function support.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations and operational reviews for senior as well as division management. Proactively communicates early warning signals to senior management. 
You Must Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting and a minimum of 7 years of related experience. 
  • Progressively responsible positions in Finance or Accounting. 
  • Ability to travel up to 5% of the time. 
  • Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business. 
  • United States Citizenship.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
